The 2.2m Calibration Facility is located in a Class 100 clean room, the 2.2m calibration facility was originally built for the test and calibration of the HIRDLS instrument, which required a low vibration environment, achieved by coupling the chamber’s optical bench to a seismic mass under the chamber, isolated from the chamber body.
