Shetland Space Centre is a privately-owned company providing support to in orbit satellite operations. This support includes vertical launch of satellites and ground stations for telemetry, data download, command and control and space situational awareness.
Shetland Space Centre can be contacted via the website or by phone and is available throughout the year.
The Satellite Vertical launch site will consist of an integration building for the preparation of the launch vehicle and payload. This building will have over-head cranes and clean rooms, there will be offices attached to the side. The roll out track will lead to a launch pad with fuelling and gas equipment. A large Command and Control building will be available on the domestic site 4 kms to the South. High quality accommodation is available for up to 200 people. It is anticipated that the site will be ready for operations in August 2020
