QinetiQ operates fully instrumented air/sea ranges on behalf of the MOD (MOD Hebrides, MOD Aberporth). Ranges could constitute core capability for a future UK Space launch range. Range architecture allows ground-based launch surveillance, launch telemetry, tracking and termination, range control, launch and recovery infrastructure. These are LTPA facilities so MOD permission must be sought by third parties who wish to use the facilities.
