The thruster test facility consists of two chambers separated by a large pneumatic gate valve. This design allows the loading chamber to be accessed independently of the main chamber at high-vac allowing for rapid fault finding and turnaround.	​Graphite chevron target
​The larger chamber is designed for testing ion thrusters, in particular thrust measurement and lifetime tests. The smaller chamber as well as being a loading hatch is also outfitted with a thermal cycling system.	​ ​Main 2m x 4.5m chamber
