Our Hypobaric Chamber at MOD Boscombe Down is one of the largest in Europe and provides the physiological challenges of high altitude and hypoxia to human subjects in a safe and repeatable environment. The facility can also be used to test oxygen life support systems and equipment. MOD Boscombe Down is an LTPA facility so MOD permission must be sought by third parties who wish to use the facility.
