Many of the biggest names in computing offer a range of Cloud Computing services on a commercial basis. They offer a large scale virtual infrastructure based on their own distributed servers, data management environments and storage technology.
Traditionally used for critical enterprise computing requirements, these virtual environments may provide a pragmatic and cost-effective solution for the space community for computation, data storage and data management, as an alternative to purchasing in-house hardware and software solutions.
